Client Alert!
As the holiday season approaches, foreign nationals planning international travel should ensure they have all necessary documentation. Before departing, verify the following:
- A passport with sufficient remaining validity
- A valid U.S. visa in the appropriate classification
- Advance travel authorization, if required
If you need to obtain a visa while abroad, prepare for possible delays in visa issuance. Additionally, upon reentry into the United States, anticipate thorough screening at the port of entry.
Foreign nationals should also be aware of potential heightened travel restrictions after the new presidential administration assumes office on January 20, 2025. Consider these possible changes when finalizing travel and reentry plans.
