DHS Terminates Haiti’s TPS Designation Effective February 3, 2026

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has published a notice officially terminating the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Haiti, with the termination taking effect on February 3, 2026. This decision follows a review of country conditions, which DHS determined no longer supports TPS eligibility under the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Action Needed: TPS beneficiaries should speak with an attorney well in advance of the expiration date to evaluate eligibility for other forms of relief or adjustment of status.
