Important Tip for Lawful Permanent Residents Planning to Apply for Naturalization

If you are a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) and intend to apply for U.S. citizenship, it is essential to keep accurate records of your international travel.

We strongly recommend that you download the Mobile Passport app (available on iOS and Android). This free app allows you to store your travel history, making it easier to complete your naturalization application (Form N-400), which requires detailed information about your trips outside the United States.

Why this matters:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requires applicants to list all trips of 24 hours or more outside the U.S. for the last 5 years. Incomplete or inaccurate travel records can delay your case or raise issues during your interview.
